Can this really be classified as a VGM album? From what I understand, this is a CD with remixes of popular Japanese pop hits.

It's not classified as "VGM".. it's classified as "Original Work" (in this case, Bentley Jones' work)

I'd definitely appreciate someone revising the entry if it includes remixes of past non-VGM songs. But yeah, we include original albums by VG musicians as long as they're significantly known as VG musicians. I don't know Japanese, but the streaming previews of the album sounded great. Looks to be a fun album!

Ah, alright. I didn't know that the criteria was only "to be a VG musician". However, I do know (according to Bentley Jones' blog) that this album is indeed remixes of non-VG music.
