Found a bug, getting a black bar on top of the site saying
Quote:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/user.php on line 278
This happens when you go directly to http://vgmdb.net/db/main.php, click the user name of someone that has recently submitted an album (in this case it was Dag) and then click Next 25 when browsing his submissions.

It seems 'Supplementary Information->Classification' and 'Products Represented' don't automatically carry over to reprints, nor can you edit these fields on a child entry.

When you've rated an album and then hover over the rating you get the option to remove your rating BUT after you've taken off the pointer from the rating you can't get the option to remove your rating again without refreshing the page.

I couldn't reproduce this ... it seems to work fine for me.

It appears new album submission and label linking have been disabled for some mobile phone browsers just recently (mine has Opera for mobile but could do most of submissions until last week). Is there anybody who occasionally access to this site with a smartphone? (maybe I'd plan to switch to iPhone and whatnot if Safari is supported by VGMdb).

Using Chrome on Mac OS X Leopard, might be linked to that?

It looks like I'll need to install Chrome (hopefully Windows Chrome will reproduce it).

Likewise, is there any way to emulate the behavior of the various smartphone browsers for testing?

Opera Mobile emulator
Opera Mini simulator
No idea about Safari on iPhone, but besides screen size there shouldn't be too much deviation from usual WebKit based browsers (i.e. Safari, Chrome/Chromium, Android phones, many newer Nokia phones...) It's best to test both Safari and Chrome though since while they use the same rendering engine their JavaScript engine does differ.

When I tried to linkfy label, I got this message. It occurred multiple times, one of which was IBRA reprint after you fixed the bug.
Quote:
The provided organization ID is invalid
But today, I could add multiple new albums and label linking by my same cellphone (Opera 8.60)... perhaps I should narrow down when it tends to happen.

Actually, it may have been my fault, when I was in the middle of fixing something and then left for a few hours.

We apparently get this message when we try to add affiliate links.

The search bar and the advanced search can't find KICA-7680 for some reason. It returns other KICA-76XX albums just fine, and the album seems correct. The ajax "suggestions" can find it though. No idea if this affects other catalog numbers.

Check your filter. You have it set to not show any Radio/Drama albums, which KICA-7680 is.

This is the danger of the filter.

Sorry! I forgot about it, since the album was showing in the discography page.

Scans for that album aren't showing, though there are thumbnails.

This happened to some albums when we moved hosts a few years ago. I've replaced the scans.

I did confirm this behavior in Chrome. I don't know much about javascript or Ajax, so I don't know how to fix it. Blah will have to handle this one.

Seems I can't delete a tracktime put by mistake when adding a tracklist. It says 'no edits detected'.
ex. http://vgmdb.net/album/18868

This happened to me before, maybe you just can't. Should I simply resubmit the tracklists?

http://vgmdb.net/album/19091
I guess it's normal due to how thumbnails are generated, but the Slipcase Side thumbnail for this album is strangely tall, 100×702px (it shows fully in the scans updates page (May 6, 2010 12:00 AM), though is truncated in the covers management/gallery pages)

You can clear a number by putting in the number "0" for the time.

We should probably look into this, since it's wasted storage space (though a small amount.)

I think we need a space in-between family and given names entered in the unicode boxes on artist profiles, as lack of a space can cause problems with non-japanese names (example here). And it could also be useful to have a space in cases where a japanese name consists of an odd number of kanji.

Also, dates still don't show up on unit profiles.

I agree, so I added a space. It also helps to identify those names that aren't the standard 2,2 characters.

There are separate types for "cancelled" or "recalled" in the release date combo, but the album pages always uses "This album was cancelled or recalled".

Good point, so I've split these out into separate messages.

The new Albums tab on the Recent Updates page is cool, but is it slow for anyone else? The loading time is 4 or 5 seconds for me, where the other tabs are near instantaneous. This is too slow for something that I monitor all the time.
